First Responder Training
The JUSTin HOPE Foundation is actively training first responders on identifying the signs of autism and other related disorders and providing them tools on how to effectively interact with those individuals. This will allow interactions to be safer and less stressful for First Responders, community members and individuals with autism.
To date, we have trained over 800 first responders in Nevada! We are POST (Peace Officers' Standards and Training) certified. We are also working on providing CEUs to the medical profession. The training is two hours in duration and provides our first responders an opportunity to interact with individuals affected by autism. Please click to download flyer for additional information.
9-1-1 Dispatch Registry
We have implemented a Dispatch Registry in the North and hoping to expand it to the South. By completing the form below, 9-1-1 Dispatch Operators will be able to disseminate information on an individual associated with that address when the call is placed. The form must be completed and returned via postal mail or email to us.
Once you've completed the Dispatch Registry Form you will be mailed an "Alert" sticker or decal. Please visit our store tab to purchase additional stickers or decals.
BE SAFE Teaching
We also provide workshops to adults and teens with disabilities on how to interact safely with law enforcement in everyday encounters. It is an interactive and engaging workshop. Please contact us if you are interested in attending a workshop.
These are just some additional resources that we have available to keep an individual safe. We will provide them at community outreach events as well.
Alert Window Decal/Stickers (If you fill out the Dispatch Registry, you will receive a free sticker/cling.)
Information Card (It is recommended that you keep this card in your glovebox in case of an emergency.)
